Short version: NeuFeed does not run its own data server, sell personal data, or use data for advertising. It processes only the Instagram information needed to provide the feature you start, and stores relevant run information locally in your Chrome browser.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the NeuFeed Like and NeuFeed Unfollow Chrome extensions (collectively, “NeuFeed”).
2. Information NeuFeed processes
When you use NeuFeed on Instagram, the extension may process information shown by Instagram that is needed for its user-facing features. This can include your Instagram username, account identifiers, usernames and displayed names of accounts you follow, profile-image URLs, relationship status shown by Instagram, and run or scan status.
For NeuFeed Unfollow, this includes the review list of accounts Instagram identifies as not following you back, plus any accounts you add to a local safe list. For NeuFeed Like, this includes local run status and progress counts.
3. How NeuFeed uses information
NeuFeed uses this information only to provide the feature you request: showing a review list, maintaining a local safe list, displaying run progress, liking posts, or sending an unfollow request to Instagram after you start a paced run. NeuFeed does not use this information for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or unrelated purposes.
4. Where information is stored and shared
NeuFeed stores its extension state locally in Chrome extension storage on your device. This can include progress, scan results, safe-list entries, and action timing needed for the extension to resume or display its status.
NeuFeed does not operate a separate NeuFeed data server and does not sell, rent, or share this information with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties. When you start a feature, the extension communicates directly with Instagram on your behalf to read information Instagram displays or to perform the action you requested.
5. Instagram credentials
NeuFeed does not ask for, store, or transmit your Instagram password or session cookies to NeuFeed. Instagram authentication remains between you and Instagram in your browser.
6. Retention and control
Local extension data remains in your Chrome profile until it is replaced during normal use, you clear extension/browser data, or you remove the extension. Removing NeuFeed from Chrome removes its local extension storage from that Chrome profile. Safe-list entries are kept locally so they can be available during later scans.
7. Your choices and third-party services
You control whether to start, stop, or use NeuFeed features. Instagram is a separate service with its own terms, privacy policy, and controls. Your use of NeuFeed does not change Instagram’s rules or your responsibility to follow them.
8. Changes to this policy
If NeuFeed changes how it handles user information, this policy will be updated before or when that change takes effect.
